On the flybridge, the current owners dedicate the after section to PWC stowage with three chaise lounge chairs forward. On centerline and amidships is a Whirlpool spa with two C-shaped dinettes, which are partially shaded by the yacht’s hardtop. Aft, an L-shaped sofa and lounge chair are positioned around a coffee table, directly across from a flat-screen TV, creating an inviting lounge area. Forward and to starboard, a Granite-topped bar with a built-in wine cooler, ice maker and stowage sits adjacent to a circular glass-topped ‘game table’. Pure Romance’s hull, deck and flybridge were built with a hand-laid, unidirectional fiberglass with a vacuum-bagged balsa core. The builder used vinylester resin throughout and balsa-cored, CNC-machined bulkheads, soles and a reinforced stringer system. The top speed on this 110-foot motoryacht with a 245,000-pound displacement is 24-plus knots because of twin MTU DDEC 16V2000 diesels. A TRAC zero-speed stabilizers system helps keep Pure Romance uber stable.

For owners looking to move into the crewed-yacht experience, Yachts360  has Hope Floats, a Lazzara 116 Open Bridge, listed for $3.795 million. The 2007 build has a variety of entertainment spaces and a rare five-stateroom layout that can sleep up to 12 guests.

Inside, the superyacht’s rich high-gloss cherry warms the salon, while windows running the length of the salon enhance the sense of volume, creating unobstructed ocean vistas. The salon has a conventional layout with the lounge area aft and formal dining forward. The low-top bar to port with three chairs will definitely be a gathering spot after hours. The galley is located forward.

The flybridge has no less than seven distinct social zones for guests to enjoy including three dinettes, a whirlpool spa and a bar. Courtesy Yachts360

The country galley is notable for its Makore cherry veneer cabinets, granite countertops, cherry plank sole and a pull-out privacy door. Appliances include:

  • Stainless-steel cabinet handles
  • Stainless-steel double sink with faucet and sprayer
  • Cherry-plank sole
  • Five-burner electric cooktop
  • Stainless-steel microwave oven
  • Stainless-steel side-by-side refrigerator and freezer drawers with ice maker
  • Stainless-steel dishwasher
  • 27-inch built-in oven
  • Raised dinette with curved seating for six
  • Built-in pantry
  • Trash compactor

Hope Float’s sense of luxury carries through to the lower-deck accommodations, from the owners’ stateroom to the converted fifth stateroom. The full-beam owners’ stateroom is amidships. Two queen-berth staterooms are forward of the owners’ space. There is a forepeak VIP with a centerline berth. The final stateroom has side-by-side berths and Pullman bunks.

Entertainment spaces continue outside with the cockpit’s three-stool L-shaped bar when it’s time for sundowners. As dinner time approaches, guests can move to the transom bench seat and the high-gloss cherry dining table. Pull up a few chairs to seat up to eight guests for an alfresco dinner.

Guests will notice that side decks on the Lazzara 116s do not run from the cockpit to the foredeck, instead the salon benefits from all 23-feet-1-inch of beam and side decks start forward of amidships. They are accessible via port and starboard doors. The foredeck has a three-person lounge pad, making it a great spot to catch some sun after a morning swim.

When it’s time to take the party upstairs, the after section of the flybridge has a five-person bench seat, two fixed tables and enough space to add loose chairs. Forward, a whirlpool spa sits on the centerline flanked by two facing C-shaped dinettes adjacent. A bar with four stools is forward and to port with a U-shaped dinette forward and to starboard, all abaft the helm station on centerline.

Twin 2,000 hp MTU 16V 2000 diesels power Hope Floats, giving the superyacht a reported 27-knot top hop and a cruising speed of 24 knots. Yachting previously reported on the engineering behind the 116-footer’s 5-foot, 6-inch shoal draft.

“The yacht is as modern under the water as above. To keep her draft at a [relatively] shallow depth (5-feet, 6-inches), her custom machined five-blade props turn in shallow tunnels. To assure minimal vibration and maximum efficiency, Lazzara worked with Rolla, a well-respected Swiss propeller manufacturer, on the design of the props and tunnels.”

Some other notable features on board Hope Floats include:

  • Onan 55kw Generator (Port) 4,200 hours
  • Onan 55kw Generator (Stbd.) 1 500 hours
  • Hydraulic swim platform that doubles as tender stowage
  • Flybridge grill
  • Two crew cabins

The WiLder 60, From Wider Yachts

With the WiLder 60, Italy’s Wider Yachts is introducing more than a new model. It’s launching the first design in a whole new brand of boats. The aluminum design is described as a hybrid between a chase boat and a performance cruiser, with reported 40-knot speed and a customizable platform for one-off orders. Power is a pair of twin 1,300 hp MAN V-8s. The first hull is already in build and scheduled to launch this summer, with a draft of 3 feet, 4 inches that should make the boat usable in skinny-water destinations. Hull No. 1 will have three staterooms and two heads for weekends with friends or family at anchor. For easier maneuvering in close quarters, the boat will be outfitted with Quick Marine bow and stern thrusters.

Lazzara LPC 70, Set for Delivery in 2024

Lazzara Yachts is building this LPC 70 power catamaran for an owner who expects to cruise in the Mediterranean. There are five guest staterooms on board, including a master slightly abaft amidships that has a starboard-side fold-out balcony. The main deck has a day head, and the galley is located forward on the lower deck, with stairs leading to the main-deck dining table. Aft, there’s relaxation space for guests, along with a garage that can house an 18-foot tender and two personal watercraft. When the tender and toys are deployed, the space becomes a beach club. Lazzara is projecting a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots with twin 550 hp Volvo Penta D8s. Twin 1,000 hp Volvo Penta D13s are optional.

Vicem’s 65 Classic Flybridge, With Down East Style

The Vicem 65 Classic Flybridge is a Down East-style boat with a reported maximum speed of 32 knots. The builder says the light-blue hull color is proving popular, though owners can choose whatever color they wish. Accommodations include an amidships master stateroom with a king-size berth and a forepeak stateroom for guests. Both are en suite, and they’re separated by a galley and dining space, giving everyone their privacy. The dining space can convert to a sleeping area for extra guests. Alfresco dining is up on the main deck. Vicem says the 65 Classic Flybridge can be built in fiberglass, but cold-molded construction is available as well. Lithium-ion batteries can power the boat for 15 hours without generator use.

New Yachts: Lazzara LSY 95 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/story/yachts/new-yachts-lazzara-lsy-95/ Tue, 21 Apr 2020 20:30:09 +0000 https://www.yachtingmagazine.com/?p=51737 This Lazzara has more volume than you might expect on a 95-footer.

Space. Speed. Technology. These are the initial descriptors that came to mind as I looked over the information on Lazzara’s LSY 95, a mega-size express cruiser based on the builder’s earlier LSX 92. One of the 92’s signature features was its fold-down terrace off the master stateroom; the 92 was one of the early yachts of this ilk to include a balcony. On the LSY 95, the fold-down section is forward, next to the galley belowdecks. Owners can now enjoy their morning coffee seaside—literally.

An atriumlike feeling belowdecks is also a Lazzara express-cruiser trait, and to that end, the galley has 12 feet of headroom. That’s also the number to the top of the main deck’s windows. Combine the light passing through the salon and hullside windows with 518 square feet of main-deck living space and 875 square feet of belowdecks area, and you get an airy, voluminous vessel accommodating five staterooms and quarters for four crew.

The LSY 95 has a full-beam master stateroom along with four VIPs, all with en suite heads.

Lazzara LSY 95
The cockpit sides fold out, adding main-deck square footage. The aft sun pad is 5 feet, 6 inches long by 10 feet wide. Courtesy Lazzara Yachts

There’s yet more room on the 341-square-foot flybridge, which is protected by a hardtop measuring 17 feet, 3 inches long by 10 feet, 9 inches wide. Under that hardtop is a table with seating to port. There’s wraparound seating aft. To starboard is a wet bar with stools.

More alfresco zones include a foredeck lounge with a hot tub, and a circular cockpit sofa that rotates electrically to face aft and enjoy the aquamarine scene with friends and sundowners. That sofa is also a good spot to keep an eye on swimmers diving off the full-beam teak swim platform. A retractable shade extends from the hardtop over the cockpit sofa to keep everyone cool. Abaft the sofa is a sun pad for four that sits atop the transom garage, which can house a tender or PWC.

Power for the LSY 95 is triple Volvo Penta 1200IPS (standard) or 1350IPS (optional) diesels. With the optional 1350s, the builder says the yacht should cruise at 28 knots and have a 34-knot top-end speed. Based on the yacht’s 1,700-gallon fuel capacity, Lazzara projects a 450-nautical-mile range at cruise speed.

The yacht’s deep-V hull form should make her seakindly, and Lazzara is building the LSY 95 with carbon fiber in all structural areas to keep weight relatively low—displacement is 150,623 pounds. Foam core in the hull further adds rigidity without weight. The yacht’s 4-foot-10-inch draft also makes her Bahamas-friendly.

The Lazzara LSY 95 is expected to launch by summer 2021. The builder also has plans on the drawing board for a 65-foot express model.

Stepping aboard the Lazzara Yachts LSY 95 via the full-beam swim platform, guests are greeted by a 360-degree, electrically rotating sofa. Abaft of the sofa is a 5.5-foot by 10-foot sun pad capable of fitting three or four guests while hiding a tender/PWC garage below. Continuing to the foredeck, there’s a built-in hot tub with a forward-facing sun pad that accommodates two sunbathers.

The main deck has 518 square feet of space with 6-foot-10 headroom. Guests can enter via the salon doors from the stern. There’s U-shaped seating with two coffee tables on the port side and a day head opposite. The salon is separated from the galley and a dining area for eight by a starboard-side staircase leading belowdecks.

Belowdecks, there are five staterooms, including a full-beam (20 feet, 8 inches) master suite with a walk-in closet, a seating area and head with his-and-her sinks. Each stateroom has an en suite head. In total, there is 875 square feet of space—not including the engine room—on the lower deck.

Two staircases—one in the salon and one in the cockpit—provide flybridge access. Up top, there is 341 square feet of al fresco space. A hardtop protects the forward part of the bridge, and see-through panels offer clean sightlines. Sofa seating wraps around portside of the flybridge. When more shade is needed, a simple push of a button extends a sunshade from the flybridge overhang, covering the portside, half-moon-shaped seating.

A wet bar with three barstools separate the aforementioned staircases. Lazzara Yachts President Joe Lazzara said they’ll likely add a fourth barstool.

Standard power for the LSY 95 will be triple Volvo Penta IPS 1200 engines with the option to upgrade to 1350s. Lazzara Yachts says its 95-footer can reach a top speed of 32 knots and cruise for 450 nautical miles at 28 knots on a 1,700-gallon fuel tank. With the optional 1350s, builder says the projected top hop is 42 knots.

Lazzara Lenton has just listed the 95-foot Lazzara LSY Virgin for sale on the brokerage market. She is a 2014 build with an asking price of $8.95 million. Virgin can achieve 30 knots thanks to triple Volvo Penta IPS 1200 engines that show 650 hours and are still covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. “It’s the first triple IPS 1200 boat,” says sales broker Rich Lazzara. “It’s Hull No. 5, but it was the first new design where we used a lot of new technology throughout it. Most of it has to do with the interior. It utilized a lot of lightweight materials.” To read more about this awesome yacht, click here!

Lazzara Yachts has just listed the 95-foot Lazzara LSY Virgin for sale on the brokerage market.

It utilized a lot of lightweight materials.”

The original owner, Lazzara says, had previously owned two Lazzara builds and wanted materials typically used in homes on board his third commission. “They’re fine in a house because a house doesn’t move,” he says. “When you put them in a boat that does 30 knots, it becomes a whole different animal.”

To achieve the owner’s demands, Lazzara Yachts had to suspend the floors about an eighth of an inch above the yacht’s structure, using isolation mounts.

“On superyachts, they do that to separate noise and vibration,” Lazzara said. “On this, our concern was the floor being able to sustain 30-knot speeds at sea and over time not have any flexing, warping, cracking. It has worked.”

Virgin is being marketed as “better than new” and has had a crew of three handling maintenance and upkeep since the day she launched, Lazzara said. She is for sale because the owner is looking to move up to a larger yacht.

The yacht is available for showings in Fort Lauderdale. Learn more at www.lazzaralenton.com.
